Chief Events Strategist

We are looking for a skilled Chief Events Strategist to lead our events and exhibition project management team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, has excellent leadership skills, and can turn visions into reality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex events and exhibitions, working closely with clients to ensure their expectations are exceeded.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing team of project managers and sales staff, promoting collaboration and excellence.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering trust and rapport while delivering exceptional service and clear communication.
- Create comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely and quality event delivery.
- Pursue outbound sales opportunities, leveraging your network and industry connections to drive business growth.
- Monitor budgets with precision, ensuring every event meets financial targets while maximizing profitability and resource efficiency.
- Negotiate with external vendors and suppliers to secure high-quality services and optimal pricing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Anticipate and address potential challenges, employing proactive problem-solving skills to maintain project momentum.
- Work with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that boost event visibility and drive attendance.
- Conduct thorough post-event evaluations to gather feedback, analyze successes, and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide insightful reports to senior management, highlighting sales performance, event outcomes, and opportunities for further growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in events and exhibition project management, with a strong history of successful client management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a talent for building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Excellent organisational abilities, with agility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- A natural communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Proactive sales mindset, with a proven ability to generate leads, secure new clients, and contribute to business growth.
- Proficient in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Wrike.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and handle high-pressure situations with confidence.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to ensure event success.
