The Role

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes to meet the demands of our busy restaurant and banqueting operations.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to plan and prepare menus, ensuring that dishes are cooked to the highest standards and presented in an attractive and appealing way.
  • Assist with the ordering and receipt of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that the kitchen is well-stocked at all times.
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the management of the kitchen team, including training and development of junior staff.
  • Ensure that the kitchen is clean and tidy at all times, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes, working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure that they meet the high standards of the hotel.
  • Deputise for the Head Chef and Sous Chef in their absence, taking charge of the kitchen and ensuring that the smooth operation of the restaurant and banqueting operations is maintained.
