We are seeking a highly skilled Multifaceted Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at BorgWarner. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and upholding the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all relevant standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Support the execution of risk assessments, safety walks, and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that all working areas are left in a safe and clean state after completing tasks.
  • Dispose of waste in accordance with environmental guidelines and regulations.
  • Escalate any concerns or non-compliance issues related to facilities, utilities, and processes.
  • Update and maintain work instructions and procedures.
  • Implement lean philosophies and processes to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in consultations and discussions related to internal and external non-compliance matters.
  • Maintain facilities and standards at our site, ensuring a high level of quality and appearance.
  • Arrange and host external contractors, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
  • Create and issue permits to work for relevant contractors.
  • Support facilities project work and contribute to other projects where skills allow.
  • Perform minor building works and maintenance tasks.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new utilities and facilities.
  • Manage the booking in and out of spare parts.
  • Self-allocate tasks using the PM notification system and create notifications for own tasks.
  • Support the positive culture and uphold BorgWarner's Beliefs and Behaviours, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Basic level of general education.
  • 1+ years of related experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Previous experience with DIY skills, including basic plumbing and electrical work.
  • Hold a recognized qualification in one of the following disciplines: Plumbing, F-Gas, or Gas Safe.
