Position: Facilities Maintenance Specialist
Location: Bradford, BD4
Work Schedule: 40 Hours (During Standard Office Hours)
Work Days: Monday to Friday (occasional weekends and public holidays may be required)
Compensation: £35,000
Key Responsibilities:
- The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is expected to comply with industry standards, legal regulations, and safety measures.
- Assist in conducting Risk Assessments, Safety Inspections, 5S evaluations, and Layered Audits.
- Ensure workspaces are safe and tidy, and manage waste disposal appropriately.
- Report any issues related to non-compliance in activities, processes, utilities, and facilities.
- As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for updating Work Instructions and implementing lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide consultation on compliance and non-compliance issues.
- Maintain facility standards at the Bradford site, including minor construction tasks.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors, issuing necessary Permits to Work.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new utilities and facilities.
- Manage spare parts inventory and preventive maintenance notifications, including self-assigning tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
- Plumbing qualifications (City & Guilds certified).
- Basic handyman skills, such as constructing stud walls and plastering.
