We are seeking a highly skilled Multifaceted Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at BorgWarner. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our facilities and standards at the Bradford Plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all relevant standards and legal requirements.
- Support the execution of Risk Assessments, Safety Walks, 5S audits, and Layered Audits associated with the scope of facilities role.
- Ensure that working areas are left in a safe and clean state after completing tasks.
- Dispose of waste according to environmental guidelines.
- Escalate concerns about non-confirming activities, including processes, utilities, and facilities.
- Update and amend Work Instructions.
- Adopt lean philosophies, lean processes, and improvement/CI activities.
- Participate in consultation for internal and external non-compliance matters.
- Arrange and host external contractors.
- Create and issue Permits to Work for relevant contractors.
- Support facilities project work and other projects where skills allow.
- Perform minor building works.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new utilities and facilities.
- Book in and out of spare parts.
- Self-allocate tasks using the PM notification system.
- Create PM notifications for own tasks and others if applicable.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Basic level of general education.
- 1+ years of related experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- PC literate, including MS Office.
- Previous experience of using ERP System (preferred).
- Basic DIY skills, including stud walls and plastering.
- Hold a recognized (certified) qualification in one of the following disciplines: Plumbing, F-Gas, or Gas Safe.
