We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Warhead Stockpile Management Configuration and Approvals Manager. This role is a critical part of the Defence Nuclear Enterprise, responsible for ensuring the safe and secure delivery of the in-service Trident nuclear warhead programme.
Key Responsibilities- Technical ownership of the nuclear warhead approval process, including production, approval, distribution, configuration management, and recording of nuclear weapon approvals.
- Technical review of nuclear weapon modifications, providing justifications to the Nuclear Weapon Approving Authority regarding approval and rejection.
- Provide technical secretariat function for the NWAA Approvals governance and committees, including maintenance of relevant engineering governance arrangements.
- HNC/HND in a STEM discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
- Two years engineering experience, preferably within a nuclear or high-hazard environment.
- Degree or equivalent in a STEM discipline.
- Experience working in the nuclear weapons programme with knowledge of policies and procedures across all life cycle phases.
- Experience with technical writing.
