Job Overview

A primary teacher is required for a pupil referral unit in North London to support students at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education. The ideal candidate will work with students who have been out of mainstream schools due to physical or mental health challenges, aiming to reintegrate them back into mainstream schools.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, focusing on re-engagement and confidence-building.
  • Collaborate with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors, and psychologists to provide comprehensive support.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students by adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.


This role requires an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a qualified teacher awaiting QTS, with relevant experience working with students with SEN. A clear DBS check and excellent teaching support are also essential.
