About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our team at Deputy. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for proactively sourcing, engaging, and qualifying strategic prospects in target segments and industries to generate pipeline and create qualified opportunities for our EMEA sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and engage with potential clients through various communication channels to create new business opportunities.
  • Run your own qualification calls with prospects to determine if they should be passed to Account Executives for the next stage.
  • Demonstrate attentive listening skills when understanding customer requirements and articulate how we can meet those needs better than other solutions.
  • Take rigorous notes and maintain data cleanliness in the CRM to ensure quality handoff to Account Executives.
  • Consistently meet established quota targets that will contribute to the company's revenue growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • At least 1 year professional quota-carrying sales experience as an outbound BDR or similar role at a SaaS company, with a proven track record of achievement and the desire to build a career in sales.
  • Team player and demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Excellent phone presence and interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
  • A love for making an impact and working with a team to hit key goals and metrics.
  • Passion and curiosity around technology with the ability to comprehend and articulate value points to customers.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and other sales enablement tools (Groove, Outreach, Sales Navigator).
  • Startup and/or people tech experience is a plus.
