About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant to join our Ophthalmology department at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Glaucoma, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with glaucoma, including diagnosis, treatment, and management.
  • Contribute to the development of our glaucoma service, including the implementation of new treatments and technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in teaching and training of junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
  • Contribute to the development of our department's clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant with the following skills and experience:

  • GMC Registration with a license to practice.
  • GMC Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining CCT (or equivalent) at time of interview.
  • Certificate of Eligibility for specialist Registration (CESR)
  • MBChB or equivalent
