Procurement Systems Specialist

Croydon Council is seeking a skilled Procurement Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Strategic Procurement and Governance team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems that drive efficient and effective procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance and value for money.
  • Support the development of the Purchase to Pay (P2P) system and management reporting.
  • Manage contract managers to ensure effective contract management and performance reporting.
  • Support the measurement of contract manager performance against agreed performance standards.
  • Manage a contract manager network to share best practices and address issues.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of P2P and strategic procurement systems functionality.
  • Experience in public sector procurement.
  • Ability to demonstrate change management and project management skills.
