Job Title: Procurement Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Systems Specialist to join our team at Croydon Council. As a key member of our Strategic Procurement and Governance team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems that support the delivery of an efficient and effective Procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Develop and maintain the Purchase to Pay (P2P) system and management reporting.
  • Manage and report on procurement, purchasing, and contract management performance across the council.
  • Support the development of strategic procurement systems, including planning, pipeline management, contract management, and e-tendering systems.
  • Produce reports to support legislative requirements, including the Procurement Act.
  • Support the maintenance of procurement documents, templates, and guidance.
  • Support the measurement of contract manager performance against agreed performance standards.
  • Manage a contract manager network to share best practices and address issues.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of P2P and strategic procurement systems functionality.
  • Working knowledge of change management and project management within a system development and implementation context.
  • Public Sector procurement experience.
