About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team at the University of Oxford. As a key member of our Development and Alumni Engagement team, you will play a critical role in securing major gifts to support our academic faculties and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to secure funding for key priorities across the Humanities Division
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior academics, researchers, and other key stakeholders to identify and cultivate major gift opportunities
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop and execute fundraising campaigns and events to support major gift initiatives
  • Provide exceptional stewardship and recognition to donors, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty
Requirements
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts in the range of £100k-£1m+
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with academics, researchers, and other stakeholders
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
