About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team at the University of Oxford. As a key member of our Development and Alumni Engagement team, you will play a critical role in securing major gifts to support our academic priorities across the Humanities Division.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of securing major gifts and the ability to think creatively in prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship. You will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division to identify and pursue funding opportunities, and will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to secure gifts in the range of £100k-£1m+.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy to secure major gifts from individuals, trusts, and foundations
  • Work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division to identify and pursue funding opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, academics, and other colleagues
  • Develop and implement a stewardship plan to ensure that donors are recognized and appreciated for their support
