About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Oxford as a Development Fundraising Specialist, working closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on securing funding for posts, scholarships, and access and outreach in the academic faculties, as well as supporting the activities of the Cultural Programme and Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure major gifts in the range of £100,000 to £500,000 from a range of donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior academics, researchers, and other stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and build support for the Humanities Division.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the University to develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns.
  • Provide excellent stewardship and donor care to ensure that donors feel valued and appreciated.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of securing major gifts and a strong understanding of philanthropy and fundraising principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative fundraising strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
