Senior Major Gifts Fundraiser

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team at the University of Oxford. As a key member of our Development and Alumni Engagement team, you will play a critical role in securing philanthropic support for our Humanities Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to secure significant funding for our Humanities Division.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and senior university officials.
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including major gifts, legacy gifts, and planned giving.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the university to leverage resources and expertise.
  • Provide exceptional stewardship and recognition to our donors, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of securing major gifts in a higher education or non-profit setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Knowledge of the University of Oxford and its Humanities Division, or a strong desire to learn and contribute to its success.
