Deputy Care Home Manager Job Opportunity

A dynamic and experienced Deputy Care Home Manager is required to lead a care home in the Newtown, Wales area. The successful candidate will be working for a leading healthcare provider, delivering high-quality care to individuals with varying needs.

This care home offers a range of care plans in a warm and safe environment, tailored to the needs of each service user. The care home provides dementia, convalescence, and palliative care, among other services.

To be considered for this position, applicants must hold a QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or above.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement evidence-based individualized care packages, therapeutic interventions, and activity programs.
  • Lead and supervise support and nursing teams to deliver exceptional person-centered care, utilizing clinical governance and personal development.
  • Recognize and address areas concerning sickness management, staff training, and development, as well as coaching and mentoring.
  • Effectively communicate and engage with service users, their families, and colleagues, utilizing excellent interpersonal and working relationship skills.
  • Understand and support service users with disabilities, health, and social care needs, utilizing appropriate aids and equipment.
  • Provide appropriate levels of care and support to ensure personal hygiene needs are met.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a similar setting.
  • Experience supporting the elderly.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centered care.
  • Good working knowledge of CIW/CQC standards and the Health and Social Act 2008.
  • Essential to be Health and Safety aware, ensuring the safety of service users and colleagues.
