Job Overview

The Respiratory Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions. As a Respiratory Support Unit and Respiratory Ward nurse, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement care for patients with a range of respiratory conditions.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing patients' care needs and developing individualized care plans
  • Providing high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions, including non-invasive ventilation and tracheostomy care
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff and healthcare assistants
  • Teaching and training staff on respiratory care and other relevant skills

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good general education and a registered nursing qualification
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting, preferably in respiratory care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
