About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Ashford Medical Partnership. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with new patient health checks, including taking vital signs and conducting routine examinations
  • Perform ECG recordings, phlebotomy, and spirometry as required
  • Provide chaperoning duties and support with laboratory sample processing
  • Maintain and sterilize surgical equipment, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients
  • Assist with vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring, and recording
  • Support with surgical equipment re-stocking and stock rotation
  • Clear and re-stock consulting rooms, ensuring a smooth patient flow
  • Prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions
  • Assist with patient assessment and surveillance, identifying potential health concerns
  • Support with specific clinical activities for named patients, as delegated by healthcare professionals
Person Specification
  • Qualified to at least NVQ level 3 in a relevant healthcare discipline
  • Immunisation and Vaccination accredited
  • Phlebotomy accredited
  • Experience working with the general public and as a Healthcare Assistant
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, managing competing priorities and working under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and email
