Job Title: School Unit Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Unit Manager to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our catering and service teams, ensuring that we deliver exceptional food and customer service to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of catering and service staff to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service.
  • Oversee the efficiency of all in-unit operations, including inventory management, budget monitoring, and implementing action plans to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate regularly with your line manager to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets, ensuring that we meet our business objectives.
  • Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image, promoting our values and commitment to excellence in customer service.
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure that we exceed expectations and deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Support and train our teams, leading from the front to ensure that everyone can excel in their role and contribute to our success.
  • Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of management experience within a similar sector or industry.
  • Experience managing teams in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Brilliant financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and drive sales.
  • Ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill and contribute to our success.
