Unit Management Specialist

Chartwells - Schools is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to oversee all catering and service operations for our schools. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our units and service counters run smoothly, delivering exceptional food and customer service. You will be part of a team that is passionate about providing outstanding experiences to our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service
- Oversee the efficiency of all in-unit operations, including managing inventories and budgets
- Communicate regularly with line managers to monitor KPIs and targets
- Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image
- Identify opportunities for new service concepts to drive sales
- Liaise between customers and internal teams to exceed expectations
- Support and train teams, leading from the front to ensure everyone excels in their role
- Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams
Requirements
- Passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
- Minimum of two years of management experience within a similar sector or industry
- Experience managing teams in a similar role
- Brilliant financial acumen
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill
