Deputy Unit Leader Position

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Deputy Unit Leader in the Gastroenterology and Liver Unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills in a busy acute ward environment.
About the RoleThe Deputy Unit Leader will be responsible for supporting the leadership and development of the team, working closely with the multidisciplinary team, other departments, and community services to ensure seamless patient care. The ideal candidate will be flexible, resilient, and forward-thinking, with excellent time management and teaching skills.
Key Responsibilities- Plan discharges from admission and liaise with the multidisciplinary team and other departments as necessary.
- Support the leadership and development of the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
