Dynamic OT for Acute Care

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team as an Orthopaedics Specialist. The successful candidate will provide specialist therapy services to patients with orthopaedic conditions, working collaboratively with patients, carers, and colleagues in health and social services.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in an acute hospital setting, providing highly specialist occupational therapy services. They will be responsible for planning and delivering highly specialist training to other OTs, professionals, and patient/carers.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Team
The Orthopaedic team provides specialist therapy services to patients with orthopaedic conditions. The team works closely with patients, carers, and colleagues in health and social services to ensure effective service planning, policy, and delivery of services to their specific patient group.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to work alongside Clinical Specialists in Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy to develop and support the rest of the team in delivering high-quality services and service improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide specialist therapy services to patients with orthopaedic conditions
- To work collaboratively with patients, carers, and colleagues in health and social services
- To plan and deliver highly specialist training to other OTs, professionals, and patient/carers
- To take responsibility for managing own caseload, prioritizing and time management
Required Skills and Qualifications
- State Registration with HPC
- Min 4 years' experience working as an Occupational therapist in NHS in relevant field
- Student supervisors' course
- Membership of specialist group in relevant area of work (desirable)
