Business Development Representative

This is an exciting opportunity to join BSI's global sales distribution team. The purpose of this role is to identify and research new business opportunities, including bulk sales and customized publishing of BSI products. The Sales Executive will actively promote BSI products and services to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- To proactively seek to understand customers' needs through account management and present/develop the BSI Standards offering accordingly in order to capitalize on opportunities to sustain revenue growth.
- To keep accurate and comprehensive records of all contact with customers in a shared CRM system, and through regular monthly reports and discussions with your line manager.
- To develop and implement an individual account strategy that ensures customers' individual needs are understood and surpassed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in account management and development.
- Good experience in a sales position where face-to-face external meetings form a key part of the role.
- Skills to complete detailed research and accurately interpret to identify sales opportunities.
- Creative and innovative with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
- Intermediate level Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience in using a CRM system as an integral part of a previous sales role.
- Demonstrable experience of success within a direct sales role within the publishing or information industries is highly desirable.
- Advanced level Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
