Medical Office Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Medical Receptionist to join our team at Sleights and Sandsend Medical Practice. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Main Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
- Processing personal, telephone, and e-requests for appointments
- Answering incoming phone calls, transferring calls, or dealing with callers' requests appropriately
- Signposting patients to the correct service
- Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, team members, and external agencies
- Reading code data on EMIS
- Photocopying documentation as required
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Inputting data into patients' healthcare records as necessary
- Directing requests for information SAR, insurance/solicitors letters, and DVLA forms to the administrative team
- Managing all queries as necessary in an efficient manner, including EMIS tasks and emails
- Completing and logging the daily fridge temperature and monthly data logging on TeamNet
- Carrying out system searches as requested
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
- Monitoring and maintaining the reception area and notice boards
- Supporting all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
