At St. Alexander Drugs Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Doctor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, with a minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and analyze medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough examinations to identify diseases and injuries, and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Work closely with patients to promote healthy habits, break unhealthy patterns, and enhance overall well-being.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to inform medical decisions.
- Collaborate with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and other interventions to promote patient recovery and well-being.
- Participate in institutional committees to contribute to healthcare policy and planning.
- Perform and assist in routine surgeries, and provide emergency care as needed.
- Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
- Hire and train staff, supervise personnel, and advocate for patients' needs.
- Coordinate and manage primary patient care, and provide acute care management as required.
Requirements
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to healthcare policy and planning.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality.
