Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our team at World Fuel Services. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for promoting our company products and services to potential customers, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and manage yourself to produce a productive and effective output of data and appointments via bold and cold calling.
  • Outbound phone calls to potential customers to promote company products and services in line with customer requirements.
  • Sell services over the phone and arrange face-to-face meetings with potential customers to ensure achievement of sales targets.
  • Recognise and seek opportunities to up/cross sell additional products and services that the business offers.
  • Pro-actively build, manage, and maintain relationships with clients via face-to-face meetings.
  • Operate and effectively manage our CRM database with all customer contact and information ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Keep abreast of developments within the water and utility services markets, provide accurate market information to clients and share new industry knowledge with colleagues.
  • Research and prepare information for prospect meetings to identify their requirements to assist with closing the sale.
  • Review your own sales performance, ensuring yours and the company's targets are met or exceeded.
  • Attend external seminars and conferences as and when required.
  • Participate in on-going training and development, regular performance reviews and monthly one-to-ones.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company.
  • Adhere to Company and department standards, policies, and procedures to attain and maintain the required competency level to perform the role and to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly, with openness and honesty.
  • Apply company values in all day-to-day activities.
  • Understand the health, safety, environmental & associated legal requirements that are relevant to our work and comply with these. Actively promote issues regarding health, safety & the environment.
  • You must ensure strong relationships are maintained with colleagues inside and outside of the business, including but not limited to –
  • New and existing customers.
  • Close working relationship with other members of your department.
  • Colleagues on all levels of seniority within the business.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Previous experience of business to business selling, including business development is essential.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK is essential.
  • Ability to build strong, long lasting professional relationships.
  • Experience of driving sales and new business initiatives.

Desirable

  • Good understanding of the UK energy and water management markets is desirable.
