Job Objective:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Veetee, your role will involve scrutinizing the production process, ensuring plant cleanliness, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and conducting various internal evaluations while overseeing the inspection of all incoming raw materials and packaging shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting daily GMP inspections of the warehouse, external factory areas, and office environments. Performing routine assessments on packing lines to confirm that all products are manufactured according to specified standards. Regularly verifying the functionality of packing line equipment, ensuring devices such as weight checkers and metal detectors are operational and calibrated as necessary. Ensuring that the date coding and labeling of finished products are precise, legible, and compliant with customer specifications. Executing traceable testing procedures. Maintaining samples of daily production for ongoing quality checks and defect identification. Conducting evaluations on raw materials and packaging quality, alongside developing technical assessments of suppliers. Continuously monitoring product quality, including metal detection, weight assessments, product seals, barcodes, and case contents, taking immediate corrective actions for any deviations from specifications, and documenting all tests in the Quality Finished Product and check weigh forms. Ensuring that all related documentation is completed accurately and punctually. Finalizing batch end processes and confirming the accurate reconciliation of packed goods, packaging, and raw materials. Meeting production timelines effectively. Minimizing waste generation. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area. Assisting in the training of colleagues on equipment once fully proficient. Supporting non-conformance investigations and resolutions as needed. Performing any other reasonable tasks associated with the position.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Previous experience in QA or food handling within a food manufacturing setting is preferred. An intermediate certification in Food Hygiene and a solid understanding of HACCP principles. Proficient in numeracy and literacy, with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Basic IT proficiency. Exceptional attention to detail. Flexibility to adapt to various shift patterns to cover for absences and overtime as required. Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
