Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the internal Quality Assurance strategy for development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting project teams with Quality Assurance tasks and activities
  • Planning, conducting, and reporting Quality Assurance tasks and activities
  • Leading junior members of the Quality Assurance department in conducting tasks and activities
  • Engagement with management and teams on Quality System matters

Requirements:

  • Experience of EN9100 (AS9100) Quality System requirements
  • Proficiency in First Article Inspections to AS9102
  • Quality Assurance Planning, Estimating, and Estimates to Complete
  • Supplier Quality Assurance Management
  • Drawing and Document Reviews and Configuration Management
  • Experience in leading complex Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations

Desirable Skills:

  • Awareness of the development life cycle of projects from phase 2 to phase 5
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP to AS9145
  • Previous experience in electronic products
  • Proficiency in compliance procedures: Systems / Safety – APR 4754 / ARP 4761

About the Quality Assurance Team:

This opportunity enables someone with existing Systems, Software, and Hardware development experience to gain knowledge and experience of Aerospace standards in the quality assurance role within the product development lifecycle.
