Job Title: Iapt Mental Health Practitioner

Join our team of dedicated professionals at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust as a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to work in our North Primary Care Network & Havering Talking Therapies team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified PWP who is looking to expand their skills and knowledge and grow as a holistic clinician within the field of primary care/Talking Therapies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service and develop programmes of care packages.
  2. Assess and support people with a common mental health problem in the self-management of their recovery.
  3. Undertake patient-centred interviews which identify areas where the person wishes to see change and/or recovery and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
  4. Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary or step up the person's treatment to high intensity psychological therapy.
  5. Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating body, and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the Department of Health.
Additional Information:

You may be expected to travel between 2 or more surgeries.
