About the Role

As a Crime Victim Advocate, you will play a vital role in supporting victims of domestic abuse in London.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse, as well as a good understanding of domestic abuse, including its impact on victims and their children.

You will be responsible for providing a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritized according to risk. This will involve working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
  • Provide direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
  • Work with victims to develop personalized safety plans and provide ongoing support to ensure their continued safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable populations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
