Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 5 nurse to join our Community Nursing Team as a Staff Nurse within the Hambleton & Richmondshire locality based at Mowbray House Surgery in Northallerton.

About the Role

This is a 7-day service with shift patterns to cover between hours. As a community nurse, you will provide high-quality, holistic care for people in their own homes and residential settings, requiring a variety of skills including wound care, continence management, palliative care, health promotion, venepuncture, and more.

Main Responsibilities

The Community Staff Nurse is expected to provide clinical care, innovative practice, and support to the District Nurse Sister and Clinical Lead to our ever-developing teams. This role will provide the opportunity to work closely with GP practices and other partners, in supporting patients with highly complex and often high acuity needs to prevent unnecessary hospital admission.

Requirements
  • Registered as fit to practice by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Diploma or Degree in Adult Nursing.
  • Experience of Multi-disciplinary working.
  • Commitment to the needs of the service, including a flexible and adaptable approach in the work environment/work practices.
  • A team player able to work well with others and demonstrate commitment to team objectives.
