We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 5 nurse to join our Community Nursing Team as a Staff Nurse within the Hambleton & Richmondshire locality based at Mowbray House Surgery in Northallerton.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will provide high-quality, holistic care for people in their own homes and residential settings, requiring a variety of skills including wound care, continence management, palliative care, health promotion, venepuncture, and more.
As a community nurse, you will work closely with GP practices and other partners to support patients with complex and high-acuity needs, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions.
About the RoleThis is a 7-day service with shift patterns to cover between hours. The successful candidate must have access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role.
The centre is committed to providing the right candidate with a development programme that will enhance their academic qualifications and nursing interests, as well as gaining an insight into the intra-organisational structure and processes.
Requirements- Registered as fit to practice by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Diploma or Degree in Adult Nursing.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working.
- Commitment to the needs of the service, including a flexible and adaptable approach in the work environment/work practices.
- A team player able to work well with others and demonstrate commitment to team objectives.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust, including a leadership development programme and a Quality Improvement Programme.
