We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 5 nurse to join our Community Nursing Team as a Staff Nurse within the Hambleton & Richmondshire locality based at Mowbray House Surgery in Northallerton.
About the RoleThis is a 7-day service with shift patterns to cover between hours. As a community nurse, you will provide high-quality, holistic care for people in their own homes and residential settings, requiring a variety of skills including wound care, continence management, palliative care, health promotion, venepuncture, and more.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical care and support to the District Nurse Sister and Clinical Lead to our ever-developing teams.
- Work closely with GP practices and other partners to support patients with highly complex and often high-acuity needs to prevent unnecessary hospital admission.
- Deliver effective evidence-based care to a defined demographic population with diverse healthcare and social needs.
- Adapt to the changing needs of the Trust and the community models of care as they arise.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust. This training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills.
You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:
- Explore leadership within the NHS
- Promote Trust Values and Behaviour
- Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
- Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead, and complete quality improvement within your role
After completing this four and a half days of training, you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3, 5, and 7.
