We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Active Care Group. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, intervention, and support to our residents with complex communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders
  • Devise evidence-led therapy programmes at a specialist level, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary working to achieve the best outcomes for our patients
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance for excellence
  • Named Therapist duties to ensure cohesive goal-setting and therapy and coordinating discharge
  • Participate in internal training (induction, mandatory training, MDT in-service)
  • Ensure all relevant codes of practice and regulations are upheld
  • Participate in service delivery audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Previous experience of working in a neurorehabilitation setting
  • Experience in working with aphasia, cognitive communication disorder, dysarthria, apraxia, and dysphagia is essential
  • Specialist level dysphagia competency on RCSLT framework
  • Ability to motivate patients over short & long periods
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
