We are seeking a highly skilled Social Worker to join our Adoption Team in Northamptonshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the duty tray, processing enquiries, and actioning tasks on the LCS. You will also provide advice on duty, back up on duty if needed, and complete Local Authority Checks. Additionally, you will supervise 3 staff members, lead group supervision, and act as a Foster Carer Ambassador linking with the Ambassador coordinator.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Skills To Foster oversight of attendance
  • Undertaking complex case work and undertaking complex initial visits
  • Transfer protocol meetings for Independent Fostering Agencies
  • Presenting the fostering Information event online via MS Teams or in person once a month
  • Attending Recruitment Events as needed
  • Meeting with fostering CSWs to discuss cases and processes for assessment
  • Reviewing systems and collating data
  • Deputising at meetings for Team manager
  • Attending Fostering Team Meetings
  • Leading on identified projects

While we only require around 6 days a month in the office, we do not do the bulk of our assessment work virtually. We expect social workers to meet in person with families regularly. This means that it will be required that they can be in the Northamptonshire area to do visits with families regularly.

Minimum requirements include:

  • SWE Registration
  • 3 year post qualifying experience within the UK
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
