Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll & Reward Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll processes, manage workflows, and ensure accurate transaction processing.

This role involves overseeing the outsourced payroll provider, communicating with pension providers, HMRC, and statutory bodies, and ensuring compliance with employment law.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Setting clear objectives and priorities for the payroll team.
  2. Managing workflows to guarantee accurate and timely payroll transactions.
  3. Overseeing the outsourced payroll provider to ensure high-quality services.
  4. Providing essential information to pension providers, HMRC, and other statutory bodies.
  5. Developing and maintaining reward and benefits policies in line with employment law.
  6. Fostering diversity and inclusion in all policies and practices.
  7. Conducting regular benchmarking, equal pay audits, and annual pay reviews.
  8. Carrying out market-related pay research to inform business decisions.
  9. Serving as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance to management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end payroll processes.
  • Strong understanding of reward strategies, benefits administration, and benchmarking.
  • Ability to collect and analyse data, conduct pay audits, and utilise HR and payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of payroll-related legislation, tax compliance, and reward policies.
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lead a team and set clear goals.
  • High degree of accuracy in managing payroll data, benefits administration, and reporting.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll and HR software.

Estimated Salary: £66,000 per annum
