Job Title: Team Leader - Residential Children's Home

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our specialist residential service, providing care and therapeutic support for children and young people with severe and profound communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead a team of support workers and Senior Support workers, providing support to the Care Managers and ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of our young people.
  • To promote a stable, happy, and caring environment, enabling service users to succeed and feel valued.
  • To manage and motivate the team, ensuring they are equipped to provide appropriate physical and emotional support to the children and young people.
  • To carry out supervisions, deal with Performance Management issues, and ensure that all documentation is kept up to date.
  • To undertake sleeping-in duties, waking night duties, and duty manager/on call responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Essential)
  • Shift / team leading experience
  • Superb communication skills
  • Highly organised
