Senior Business Development Specialist

Established over 35 years ago, our client is a well-respected full-service hydraulic company with an extensive network of centres across the UK and Ireland.
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their sales team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and developing customer portfolios within specific sectors and supporting existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high levels of customer service both internally and externally
- Collaborate with National Account Managers to support key accounts
- Identify sales opportunities within bespoke sectors, including Rail, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Environmental, Material Handling or Pharmaceuticals
- Manage a portfolio of accounts, providing exceptional customer service
- Provide sales assistance and technical support in your designated sector
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in engineering/technical environments
- Hydraulic knowledge is desirable
- Extensive knowledge of one or more bespoke sectors, such as Rail, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Environment, Material Handling or Pharmaceuticals
- Previous BDM/Area Sales experience is advantageous
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to present themselves professionally. They will also have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and be interested in learning and developing.
