Antony James Recruitment Ltd is currently supporting a client in Bourne End recruiting for a Head Chef offering a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000, with a total package of approximately £55,000.

Our client is a vibrant and contemporary Tapas bar located on the River, renowned for its chic decor and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant offers an eclectic menu featuring locally sourced ingredients and a fusion of traditional and modern cuisine.

As a Head Chef, you will work a 5-out-of-7 rota basis, with straight shifts. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining current knowledge of culinary trends and procedures
  • Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
  • Interacting with suppliers to secure high-quality products at reasonable costs
  • Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary
  • Managing culinary equipment maintenance and scheduling repairs
  • Addressing employee concerns, such as sick leave and attendance, and implementing discipline when required
  • Developing new recipes and revamping menus to attract more customers
  • Ensuring visitors have a delightful dining experience and receive exceptional service
