Job Overview

We are looking for an English Teacher to teach KS3 students in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in SM4. The ideal candidate will have excellent behaviour management skills and be able to engage reluctant learners in English.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging English lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment in small group settings.
  • BUILD strong relationships with pupils to encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to support the personal and academic development of students.
  • Take on planning, preparation, and assessment duties associated with teaching KS3 students.

Salary and Benefits:

The daily rate for unqualified teachers is £120 - £170 per day, while qualified teachers can expect a daily rate of £180 - £250 per day (according to your teaching scale). A contract type of temporary to permanent is offered, with benefits including access to professional development opportunities and a supportive working environment.
