NHS Consultant Haematologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, contributing to clinical and laboratory work, and participating in a one-in-seven non-resident on-call rota.
About the RoleThis is a locum post with immediate effect, and the successful applicant will join a team of six other consultants. The role is predominantly based in York Hospital with a day a week on the Scarborough site.
The Trust provides Haematology care to a population of approximately 800,000, including high-intensity chemotherapy services. Outpatient chemotherapy can be delivered in Scarborough, but all inpatient care is on the York site.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care and contribute to clinical and laboratory work
- Participate in a one-in-seven non-resident on-call rota
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Registered and licensed to practice with the General Medical Council
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Haematology
- An appropriate higher medical qualification, such as MRCPath or equivalent
- CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview) CESR or (within 6 months of completing a training programme recognised for the award of CCT or equivalent)
- NHS experience
