Job Overview

York and Scarborough Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic and supportive team.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes. The post is offered as 10 programmed activities (PAs) over five days, with opportunities for flexible working arrangements. We are open to discussing specific job plans that cater to the candidate's needs and preferences.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Medical Degree
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date within 12 months of interview) or CESR

Desirable criteria include:

  • MD or equivalent higher degree or evidence of relevant research
  • Substantive NHS experience
