Your Role in Our Mission

As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with embedded partners, compiling enquiry information, and leading subcontractor negotiations. Your attention to detail and commercial acumen will ensure the right subcontractor is selected for each project.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Compile enquiry information from drawings, specifications, and Merit documentation, working with the project and estimating team to pull together the scope of works.
  2. Complete due diligence on subcontractors, including CHAS, insurances, and H&S policy, and maintain this information.
  3. Lead subcontractor negotiations, including terms and conditions, best value for money, payment teams, and rebates.
  4. Adjudicate quotations received for work packages to ensure the right subcontractor is selected.
  5. Compile NEC or JCT pass-down contracts from the client contract to the subcontractor.
  6. Compile all required collateral warranties from subcontractors.
  7. Liaise with staff in other departments, including finance, quality, design coordination, and BIM.
  8. Provide accurate reporting in line with company requirements to weekly procurement meetings.
  9. Establish close working relationships with site teams on each project.
  10. Ensure efficient thorough planning and organisation for the department.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Brief understanding of NEC and JCT contracts, including commercial dialogue.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects and subcontractors simultaneously.
