Job Title: Climate Risk Strategist

Earnings Range: £60,000 - £72,000 per annum (Depending on Experience) + Company Benefits

This position involves delivering expertise to clients across diverse sectors by identifying and assessing physical climate change risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and advise clients on understanding the implications of physical climate change and transitioning to a low-carbon economy.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments, including gap analyses, scenario analysis, and financial quantification of transition risks and opportunities.
  • Support clients in developing net-zero strategies, setting targets, and creating decarbonisation roadmaps.
  • Provide insights on regulatory frameworks, climate policy, and practical implementation strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients to prepare TCFD disclosures and financed emissions expertise.
  • Offer practical adaptation and resilience solutions by integrating climate risk into decision-making.
  • Carry out climate risk due diligence for private equity transactions and assist in structuring sustainable finance instruments.
  • Report climate performance in sustainability reports and CDP disclosures.
  • Calculate corporate carbon footprints and develop net-zero strategies aligned with SBTi targets.
  • Identify GHG reduction opportunities and integrate them into strategic climate action plans.
  • Assist with double materiality assessments for clients.

Professional Attributes:

  • Experience in climate transition risk analysis and consulting.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, financial modelling, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A track record of delivering consulting solutions for diverse clients.
  • Scope 3 value chain assessment.
  • Climate risk analysis and management, financial accounting, GHG accounting and data management, internal carbon pricing, carbon credits and removals, climate target setting, transition planning.
