About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Delivery Manager to lead our cross-functional teams in delivering high-profile projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading multiple teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving results through agile practices.

The Senior Delivery Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading and motivating multiple teams to deliver timely products and services that meet user needs
  • Co-creating and co-owning plans and progress using lean/agile practices, and communicating status to senior stakeholders
  • Providing useful and accurate delivery metrics to facilitate continual improvement
  • Facilitating an inclusive team environment where innovation and challenge are welcomed from all colleagues
  • Delivering to agreed goals, actively tackling impediments, risks, and blockers, and communicating and escalating where necessary
  • Working with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure all needs are understood and to influence strategic direction
  • Developing, guiding, and coaching delivery manager line reports, continually improving team effectiveness, efficiency, and cohesion
  • Managing stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and effective communication, dealing constructively with conflicting views
  • Working in partnership with product and technical leads on high-profile work in ambiguous, complex, and/or uncertain domains
  • Promoting continual improvement, good communication, and collaboration across the organisation using agile at scale principles

Person Specification

We are interested in candidates with experience of:

  • Using agile practices to deliver products and services that serve real user needs
  • Facilitating effective workshops that give a voice to all participants and provide concrete outputs
  • Leading successful high-functioning multidisciplinary delivery teams aligned to organisational strategic priorities and stakeholder needs
  • Actively tackling impediments, risks, and blockers, and communicating and escalating where necessary

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including flexible hybrid working, a Civil Service Pension, 25 days annual leave, and access to training and development opportunities.
