About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Incentives Associate to join our esteemed Incentives practice at Slaughter and May. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in advising clients on a wide range of share plan and incentives issues, including remuneration and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Advisory: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance on share plan and incentives matters, including remuneration and corporate governance.
  • Documentation Drafting: Draft, review, and amend the legal and commercial aspects of incentives documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Transaction Support: Take responsibility for the share plan and incentives aspects of corporate transactions, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless results.
  • Team Collaboration: Deliver first-line support to clients on some matters, while working collaboratively with colleagues at various experience levels on others.
  • Leadership and Development: Manage and supervise the work of others, including trainees, and contribute to the development of the practice by promoting the firm and its work to existing and potential clients.
Requirements
  • Interest in Incentives Law: A genuine interest in pursuing a career as an incentives lawyer, with a strong academic background and high level of intellectual rigour.
  • Technical Expertise: A high level of technical knowledge and skills in incentives and remuneration, with the ability to draft, advise, and negotiate complex transactions and cases.
  • Client Relationship Skills: Excellent client relationship skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Commercial Awareness: A high level of commercial awareness, with the ability to identify and explain key technical issues commercially and succinctly.
  • Professionalism and Integrity: A high level of professionalism and integrity, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment.
