Job Title: Teacher - Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teacher to join our team at Catch22. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students, who require additional support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
    • Assess and evaluate student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform instruction.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.
  • Student Support:
    • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, addressing their emotional, social, and academic needs.
    • Build strong relationships with students, families, and carers to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and external agencies to ensure seamless support and coordination.
  • Professional Development:
    • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills, knowledge, and practice.
    • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops to stay updated on best practices and policies.
    • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures, ensuring they align with Catch22's values and mission.
Requirements:
  • A recognized higher qualification in education, with significant experience in teaching and planning.
  • Proven track record of working with students with complex needs, including those with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Extensive experience in behavior management, with a strong understanding of behavioral theories and techniques.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and its application, with a clear understanding of assessment and evaluation methods.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
