At AIG, we're redefining the way we help customers manage risk. As a Senior Trade Credit Underwriter, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic and multinational accounts, driving growth and innovation in the field of Trade Credit insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of excess of loss (XOL) clients, providing expert guidance on credit insurance arrangements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to drive successful renewals and growth of the AIG book of business in the UK.
  • Assess specific counterparts and their financial statements to set agreed credit limits, ensuring optimal risk management.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with clients at year-end renewals and mid-point of policies, where applicable.
  • Stay up-to-date with sector, economic, and political risk trends to inform underwriting decisions.

What We're Looking For:

  • A good understanding of financial assessment, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
  • Proven business acumen and successful commercial career experiences with multinational programs, MN companies, and global brokers.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
