Job Summary

Citi is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Director of Banking and Risk Management. This position will be responsible for providing first-line-of-defense credit approval for complex transactions and balance sheet commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior credit approval authority covering large and complex underwritings, capital commitments, and derivatives with multi-industry experience.
  • Develop and implement leading practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring, including the end-to-end underwriting process.
  • Support the Global Head of ICM FI Credit Underwriting on strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Oversee a team of credit associates and ensure the preparation of key deliverables such as Credit Approval Memos (CAM) and other standards.
  • Facilitate relationships with key clients, regulators, and other control functions.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of risk/risk-related credit work experience in banking/financial institutions.
  • L2 Senior Credit Officer designation preferred.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage with regulators and internal control functions, including Internal Audit and Banking and International Credit Review (BICR).
  • Ability to understand capital markets products and complex financing and product structures.
  • Strong sensitivity to macro and regulatory issues and their impact on risk families, including operational and franchise risks.
