Avery Healthcare's Frognal House Care Home in Sidcup, Kent is recruiting for a Food Preparation Assistant to join their kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about food preparation and has a commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the catering function and contributing to delivering high-quality services to residents. They will work collaboratively with the team to ensure that all food preparations are undertaken to the highest standards of hygiene.
This role requires the successful candidate to have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene. They will also be knowledgeable about Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Support the catering function in food preparation and maintain a clean environment.
- Advising on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks.
- Holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrating high standards of personal hygiene.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
Avery Healthcare is one of the largest providers of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of around £21,000 per annum, depending on experience.
